Police saying sign - 01

This saying was bought from the Silhouette Design Studio store.  It was fun to make this. I think it turned out great and I put this on a burned wood 12 x 12 inch plaque.   

My son is a police officer so I gave him this for Christmas this year.

Holly Jolly layout 4

This is the fourth and final layout using the Close to My Heart Holly Jolly paper packet and the Holly Jolly coordinating cardstock package. There is a bit of paper left so you could make a card yet or by adding a bit more cardstock you could make another layout.  

For this layout I once again used the Close to My Heart Ornament die (it is the larger ornament) and the Tags die for the journal spot.  The small ornament is just another die I had on hand. The bling is the Holly Jolly dots.  Once again I used some of the White Daisy cardstock om this layout.

Baby-Child-block-with-TeddyBear-in-brown-01

Here is another block I have done.  The brown vinyl worked great, the golden vinyl is fine when not lighted, but once lighted the fox disappears.  So next time the fox would be in brown as well.  I use holographic paper as I love what it does to the lights.  I use it on the front and back both, so that adds $10 to the cost of making these, but the end result is worth the cost as it just adds another element to these. 

 

Most people do not put something on the back, but I do just so it is not blank and I don't want to block it off with paper or something else.  This color did not work as well as I thought, however it is still cute and I am not about to scrap $6 worth of product and 1 1/2 hours work as most people never look at the back.

Holly Jolly Layout 1

This is the first of 4 layouts using the Close to My Heart Holly Jolly paper packet and the Holly Jolly coordinating cardstock package. For these 4 layouts I added 3 Daisy White cardstock sheets and just  a bit of Black cardstock as well.

I added a bit of Daisy White cardstock to this layout and it is not quite how I designed it as when I adhered the pages I goofed up on the first one, but it still looks okay.  I used some Spellbinder dies on this layout to add some excitement.   The Holly Jolly dots where used to add some bling.

Holly Jolly layout 3

This is the third layout using the Close to My Heart Holly Jolly paper packet and the Holly Jolly coordinating cardstock package. I love the little corner details as it changes up the layout.  I love the little zip stips on the paper and I always use some of those from the paper packet in the layouts that I do.

I used some of the White cardstock from previous layouts on this layout and part of the one bulk piece of paper to add the fun little corners on this layout.  I used the Close to My Heart Tags dies to add the journal spot and a snowflake die I had on hand for the snowflake.  THe bling is the Holly Jolly dots.

Boutique layout 3

This is the 3rd layout using the Close to My Heart Boutique paper packet.

I have added Daisy White and Charcoal cardstock to this layout.  The journal spots are cut with a Quickutz/Lifestyle dies.

Holly Jolly Layout 2

This is the second layout using the Close to My Heart Holly Jolly paper packet and the Holly Jolly coordinating cardstock package. 

 For this layout I added a fun title using an SVG file from Treasure Box designs.  Making a title takes time, so I do not always do this for my club.  I just think it really helps this layout pop. It was made using paper left after all 4 layouts were made.
I also used the Close to My Heart Ornament die and another ornament die I had one had.  

The bling was added with the Holly Jolly Dots.

I added some black and white cardstock to this layout as well.

Robot quilt for Sterling

 This is the Robot quilt that I made for my new grandson.   This one is a bit smaller than the Nemo quilt.. Again sewn with love and I as really am not a very good sewer, but I do have fun doing these quilts for family.

Once again I had Lynn quilt the top and she did robots designs and they are adorable.  I have given to close up pictures of those.   

Welcome Sterling 01

This is the first page in a baby book I am making as a gift.

I used paper on hand and created the title with my Silhouette Cameo.  The animals are all from Cottage Cutz dies.

Every Little Thing layout 4

Here is the final layout using the Close to My Heart Every Little thing paper packet and coordinating cardstock packet.  To make these 4 layouts I added 2 bulk pieces of the Every Little Thing paper and about 1 1/2 pieces of Daisy White card stock one part of a page of Ponderosa Pine as I did not have Evergreen cardstock like I thought I did.  There is still some cardstock left that can be used for cards or another layout with some more design paper.

On this layout I used the Sapphire cardstock for photo mats and I used the light side of Sapphire and Julep as part of the design.

Baby-Child-light-up-block-with-dragon-01

I made this for my new grandson for part of a shower gift.  

The SVG file is from Digital Gems Designs  and I just love this design.  Perfect for a boy or girl.  I added my new grandsons name to the banner to personalize it.

This show the blue color so well.  I used holographic paper to give the lights that sparkle/star design.  I put it on both the back and front of the block.  

Here is the design in daylight so you an see the name and elements.  The bow has light blue dots that match the vinyl color.  After I was done I decided to add a cute lion by Digital Gems to the back.  So now you can use either side.   :)

Cupcakes-for-Sterling-baby-shower

Cupcakes I made for the baby shower given by Emily and family.  Emily did an awesome job decorating for the party.  This was the centerpiece in the kitchen. The cupcakes were chocolate with caramel filling and caramel frosting.  I wrapped them in woodland animal wraps.  The cute little toppers were made by someone on Etsy and they were adorable. It was a fun day and a great party.

Looks like I missed a topper on one cupcake!  This was the cupcake tree that was on one of tables.

Nemo Quilt for Sterling

I dabble with quilting.  I am not a great sewer but the love that makes these is what makes them special.  I made this quilt for my new grandbaby Sterling.  

The quilting on this one is stunning.  Lynn quilited the top for me and I love the cartoon fish and bubbles she used.  It really makes the quilt.  Below is a close up of 2 spots on the quilt to give you an idea.

For this layout I used the Silhouette to cut the large circle and I used some of my butterfly dies to add accents to this layout.  Mint cardstock was used for the photo mats and the butterflies are in Julep - the dark side and Ponderosa Pine cardstock.

Here is the first of four layouts using the Close to My Heart Every Little thing paper packet and coordinating cardstock packet.  To make these 4 layouts I added 2 bulk pieces of the Every Little Thing paper and about 1 1/2 pieces of Daisy White card stock one part of a page of Ponderosa Pine as I did not have Evergreen cardstock like I thought I did.

I used the bulk Every Little Thing paper on this layout as I wanted to use the diagonal stripped paper that is on the back of this design in the paper packet for the 4th layout.  I used the light side of the Julep cardstock and the Wisteria cardstock for photo mats.

Tag party 2019

Here are the tags that the ladies made for our deer opener tag party.  The designs are from dies and from SVG files from Silhouette Design studio store and Treasure Box Designs.  The ladies loved the tags and thanks you to the Mary, Sue and Laurie who helped me prep these tags for the group. Thank you Sue for hosting.  It was a fun day.

We do this every year and it is a lot of fun.  Now the hunt begins for more designs and dies for next year.  :)

Mommy's Little Monster - 02

Here is another layout I am making for a gift.  I just love Monsters and I went a  little crazy with them on this layout, but I think it works. 

The titles, arrow and child in monster costume are from  Little Scraps of Heaven.  The other 3 monster accents are from Marjorie Ann Designs.

The photo mats are from Silhouette Design Studio and the Journal spot was cut with a Spellbinder die.

Story Time -01

Today was a cold rainy day, so I decided to make another page for a book.  This one uses the Sesame Street Cartridge from Cricut for the characters.

I used different colored base pages and bright colors for the photo mats for a different look on these pages. Lifestyle Crafts/Quickutz were used to make the photo mats, journal spot and title.   

I may still add some stacked books as accents to this layout.

Elmo was cut at 5 1/4 inches
Big Bird was cut at 7 1/2 inches
Cookie Monster was cut at 5 1/4 inches

Bath Time -01

Here is another layout for a baby/child book.  This one deals with bath time.  The duck is from Little Scraps of Heaven Design and the monkey is from Kadoodle Bug Designs.  The title I made on my own.

Swiss Dot paper was used for the base pages and the photo mats.

Sayings for granddaughters - 01

I made these wall hangings for my granddaughters for Christmas.  My first attempt at this and I think they turned out pretty good.  I wanted inspirational sayings for them and I found the SVG files at the Silhouette Studio store.

Vinyl on wood and a nice small about 7 x 7 size wall hanging.  I do hope my granddaughters like these.

Hawthorn Layout 3

Here is the third of 4 layouts using the Close to My Heart Hawthorn paper packet and the Hawthorn Coordinating Cardstock paper packet.  

For this layout I used the Pebble and Charcoal cardstock from the coordinating cardstock pack.  I also used one sheet of paper from the Bulk Hawthorn paper packet.   The journal spot was created with the Spellbinders deckle dies.
The leaves are in Toffee, Paprika and Sangria cardstock and were cut with a Quickutz die.  The edges of all the leaves were inked with contrasting colors.

Hawthorn Layout 2

Here is the second of 4 layouts using the Close to My Heart Hawthorn paper packet and the Hawthorn Coordinating Cardstock paper packet.  The first 2 layouts are based on some elements of the Hawthorn workshop kits.  I have changed things as I did not use the workshop kits.

For this layout I used the Sangria and Sapphire cardstock for base pages and photo mats. I used the plaid side of the paper on this layouts as I love plaid.  I also have way more photo mats on this layout.  I prefer more than one of 2 photos so that I can document what I want with the photos and I always try to have a journal spot.

This is the first of 4 layouts using the Close to My Heart Boutique paper packet. To get 4 layouts I add cardstock to the paper packet. I always try to have a journal spot on the pages as well.

I have added Charcoal cardstock to this layout.  The journal spot was made with a die in Daisy White cardstock.

Heart Happy Layout 4

This is the 4th layout using the Close to My Heart Heart Happy paper packet.  For this layout I have added Mint cardstock for the large photo mats.

With the design you can add multiple pictures however you like.  I will create a journal spot once I added the photos.  The journal spot may go on the Mint cardstock of be angled off to the side at either the top or bottom.  Zip strips were used from the paper for some of the design elements.
