Jingle Joy Layout 1 CTMH

 Here is the first layout from the Close to My Heart Jingle Joy paper and coordinating cardstock packets.  For my club we use 2 of the Jingle Joy patterned paper and one coordinating cardstock.  I also add in other cardstock if the design needs it.  I love how this layout turned out and I used some older dies and stamps to make this layout.  

For this layout I added Kraft, Black and Daisy White cardstock.  I decided to use some older stamps and make some design paper as I needed more than just the one B&W heart one from the paper packet.  The black snowflake paper was made with the snowflakes from the old C1506 Flakey Friends stamp set and for white swirly stars paper I used M1146 Swirling Stars Essentials stamp.  We all have stamps in our stash, so pull out those old stamp and add some excitement to your layouts by making your own patterned paper.  It is very easy as some stamps lend themselves to making background paper without any difficultly.

The title was stamped from older D1443 Share the Magic stamp set.  The snowflakes are from CTMH older dies and some other snowflake dies I had on hand.   We all have many things in our stash and using them with new products is fun.

Comfort and Joy layout 5 CTMH

This is the 5th and final layout using the Close to My Heart Comfort and Joy paper packet, 2 of them,  and coordinating cardstock. I love this triangle design and it much easier than it looks.  

To make the triangle part of this layout it requires one piece of cardstock and one B&T design paper.  The photo mats are some B&T paper and the joy title was cut from a die that I had.

To make the triangle layout you do the following.

1. Cut a 12 x 12 piece of design paper into four 6 x 6 inch squares.

2.  Cut the 6 x 6 inch squares into triangle, by lining up the points.

3.  Cut the triangles you just made into 2 smaller triangles.

4.  Repeat for all the 6 x 6 inch squares.

5. Now attach the triangles to the cardstock alternating the designs, ONLY put adhesive on the LONG SIDE as you will be bending these later,. Keep doing this until you use all the triangles.

6.  Now take the point of each triangle and bend to match to the bottom of the triangle.  You want the points to line up.  I use a bone folder to give a crisper line.

7.  I use some adhesive on the back side of the folded point to make it lie flatter.

8.  Once all triangles are folded and the tips adhered.  I then turn over the paper and draw a diagonal line and then I cut on that line.

9.  I then put each half of the triangle design on cardstock base pages and add my photo mats and journal spot.  I used two 4 x 6, and two 4 x 4 photo mats.

This is the 4th layout using the Close to My Heart Comfort and Joy paper and coordinating cardstock packs.

The title is a Spellbinder die and the journal spot is just a die I had on hand and I have forgotten the maker of it.

Comfort-and-Joy-Layout-03

This is the 3rd layout using the Close to My Heart Comfort and Joy paper and coordinating cardstock packs. I love a little bit of whimsy on my layouts and I think the reindeer and lights add that.

On this layout I used the B&T paper for the photo mats.  For embellishments I used the two dies from the CTMH Yuletide Borders.  They a bit of fun.  The holiday reindeer is a Sizzix die.  The journal spot uses a Cottage Cutz wacky stitching die.

Comfort-and-Joy-Layout-02

 This is the 2nd layout using the Close to My Heart Comfort and Joy paper and coordinating cardstock packs.

On this layout I added some Candy Apple cardstock for photo mats.  I wanted to add a bit of funky with the fun tree, which I did emboss, and the deer. The tree is a Quickutz dies, the deer is a Cuddly Cute die and the Merry Christmas title and oval journal spot were dies I had on hand.  I have so many dies, that on some I do not remember the maker.

Comfort-and-Joy-Layout-01

This is the first of 4 layouts using the Close to My Heart Comfort and Joy paper packet, 2 of them,  and coordinating cardstock.  My club likes bigger pictures and more pictures so I try to always have at least 5 pictures spots.

For this layout I added some Glacier cardstock as well.  The journal spot is made with dies on hand.  The Noel title and posenita are Spellbinder dies.

Months-eleven-and-twelve-01

 The last 2 pages for this small 12 x 12 book are for months eleven and twelve. 

A scalloped border punch with holes was used to make the borders on both pages.  The animals marching in a row are so cute on this layout.  A friend made the SVG cuts for me and they are from Treasure Box Designs

Tag Party 2020

 We made fewer tags this year as our group was smaller.   Thank you to Laurie and Jean who cut some tags for the group.  While our group was smaller we had a good time.  I had a few tags left over from last year, so everyone did go home with about 20 tags.  

Some of these are die cuts, some are SVG files from Silhouette Studio store and Treasure Box Designs.

 This is a bonus layout I came up with from left over paper.  I did add 2 Sangria cardstock base pages and some Espresso and Sundance.

The Sunflower is from Treasure Box Designs Sunflower girl and the journal spot is a die I had on hand.

Bloom-with-Grace-05

This is the 5th and final layout from the Close to My Heart Bloom with Grace paper and coordinating cardstock pack.

The photo mats are using the Desert Rose cardstock and the journal spots were cut using the CTMH Stitched Rectangle dies.

There is still some paper left and I could perhaps come up with another layout by adding a bit more cardstock or make a card or save to add titles/embellishments once I put pictures on here.

 Here is the fourth of 5 layouts my club is making from Close to My Heart Bloom with Grace paper pack and cardstock pack.  We actually bought 2 of the Bloom with Grace printed paper packs for these layouts.  We liked both sides so much, we wanted to be able to use all the papers in the layouts.

This layout I have left without embellishments until the pictures are added.  I once again used Espresso for the photo mats.

Bloom-with-Grace-02

Here is the second of 5 layouts my club is making from Close to My Heart Bloom with Grace paper pack and cardstock pack.  We actually bought 2 of the Bloom with Grace printed paper packs for these layouts.  We liked both sides so much, we wanted to be able to use all the papers in the layouts.

On this layout I added a little Sangria and Sundance cardstock for design elements.  The photo mats are in Espresso and the journal spot is in French Vanilla cardstock and it was cut with the CTMH Stitched Simple Brackets dies.

The acorn is a Quicktuz dies and it goes well with the fall colors on this layout.  There is room for a title and more embellishments once you add pictures.

Bloom-with-Grace-01

 Here is the first of 5 layouts my club is making from Close to My Heart Bloom with Grace paper pack and cardstock pack.  We actually bought 2 of the Bloom with Grace printed paper packs for these layouts.  We liked both sides so much, we wanted to be able to use all the papers in the layouts.  This design was based on a layout created by Amy Raimy another CTMH maker.  The designs are not exact, but the basic idea is similar.

For this layout I added an a sheet of French Vanilla cardstock for the photo mats and the journal spot.

The journal spot was cut with the CTMH Stitched Scalloped Brackets die.

The sunflower accents were cut with a Quickutz dies.  I have tons of dies, so I try to incorporate them in my layouts as it adds just that extra little bit of zing to the layouts.

One-Smart-Cookie-01

 My granddaughter wants to give her teachers a gift for the holidays, so I have made this hot pad for her with my Silhouette Cameo.  They will add a cookie mix to the pocket. My first time working with HTV and they turned out really cute. The saying is an SVG file I bought on Etsy - DeZinesbyEM.  I originally was going to make my own saying but I really like how this one looked so I decided to buy it and use it for my granddaughter.  Hopefully the teachers will like this. 

Buffalo Plaid is a favorite of mine and my daughter likes it as well.  

Summer-Vibes-Layout-04

 This is the fourth and final layout using the Close To My Heart Summer Vibes design and cardstock papers. My clubs like larger pictures and their pictures matted so I have come up with the following design.  There is still some paper left, so you could add a tile or embellishments made from the left over paper.  You could even make a card or two with what is left.

I added Toffee cardstock for photo mats on the layout.  The journal spot was cut with a Spellbinder die I had on hand.  I did also add some Daisy White cardstock.

 This is the first of 4 layouts using the Close To My Heart Summer Vibes design and cardstock papers. My clubs like larger pictures and their pictures matted so I have come up with the following design.

On this layout I have added black cardstock for the photo mats.  I made the title with my Silhouette Cameo.  The watermelon are Quickutz die cuts.  The zip strip of watermelon I used on this page lead me to make some watermelon die cuts and it really help the page pop.   The journal spot was made with some Hexagon dies I on hand.

 Months three and four for your baby photos. This is such a fun little book to make and a nice keepsake for your little one.

Here are the pages for one month and two months.  Again this was paper I had on hand.  I used sweet little doily punch to make the borders top and bottom on both pages.
